Substance Abuse
and General Mental Health Services for Adults

Philosophy
La Frontera Center offers services that address
the whole person. A thorough clinical assessment identifies the
person’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences. Staff use this
information to formulate a service plan that guides the treatment
process from beginning to end. Methods used to treat substance abuse
and mental health disorders include clinically proven approaches
advanced by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, including
motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT),
Acu-detox, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and brief treatment. Adult
services at La Frontera use a multidisciplinary team approach that
adheres to the Arizona Practice Guidelines for the treatment of
persons with co-occurring disorders. We believe recovery is possible
with motivation to change and given the right tools to assist people
in making choices that will enhance their lives. We offer a treatment
experience that maximizes family strengths, the importance of culture
in the healing process, and an emphasis on living a healthy lifestyle.
